Deviant Moon Tarot

I was just over at The Tarot Channel blog where I was introduced to the Deviant Moon Tarot, a new deck scheduled to be released next month by U.S. Games. The artwork for this deck is stunning, surreal, dark, and wonderfully frightening. It guarantees to seep into the subconscious. I thought you all might want to read the interview with Patrick Valenza, the deck creator and visit his website. You can pre-order this deck at Amazon and at The Tarot Garden. I’m going to go pre-order mine right now!

Thanks for the link, I chose the Three of Cups as my card of today, I love anything with marine animals…
Can I ask you a general question… What do you do to clear your deck after a reading? Do you re-sort it by Major Arcana and Suit and value of the cards?
Is that something I should definitely be doing? It is such a lengthy processs, especially when doing several readings in a row or just the card of the day…

Hi Cathy,
That 3 of Cups is pretty amazing!
I know some people have rituals around clearing their deck after a reading, but I don’t worry about it. I put the cards back, making sure that they are spread throughout the deck and not clumped together, and then I just give them one quick shuffle. If I’m going to do another reading right away, such as at a party, I’ll shuffle a few times. Some people like to store their decks with crystals to charge them, some sort them, as you mentioned. There aren’t any rules, and you can do whatever feels right to you—and whatever you have time for!

Hi Susan,
thanks for the feed-back! I feel better now about not wanting to sort them every single time…

OMG! Thank you for posting the link to this amazing deck. I have never seen anything like it before. I can not wait to have it and read with those images.

Hi Enzo,
It knocked me over, too. This was a fun one to share, and no doubt, reading with it will be powerful. I’m so glad you are excited by it. Thanks for writing in!
